I would look at images 16,14,6. These images use the clothing as a means of flattening the space but also transports the viewer to a psychological environment. I'm no expert but in some religions, the use of ornate patterns and designs are use to suggest a different plain of spiritual existence. I would take another look at these images and ask yourself what is the focus [conceptually] and can or do you need additional space around the subject? I find these images to be strong, but as far as the assignment goes I would ask you to attempt to get more to the environment into the images, but keep shooting the others. Is there a patterned background you could use? It may very well be that those images I suggested and a couple more may be the ones you turn in. Look at the work of Lalla Essaydi.
i really like the lighting and the colors in these as well as the extreme close up of just the peoples faces. They are great pictures, i just don't know about the environment.
all of your photos are very strong... however i think you need to show more of your environment.
